Let’s see some results. I refactored everything into functions and squashed some of the noise so let’s see a run. Next up is I need to find a good css module that allows for clickable sorting tables but for now here’s a dump. I left in some of the tie-breaker text cruft so I can go back and spot check some the oddities. This is from roughly the PAC-8 era on.

A lot less USC than I would have thought. The Cal State schedule was insane there for a while. More on that later. So far no tie breaker extends beyond “common opponents margin of victory” but there are some cases where maybe the winner is dubious. There are situations where a Cal State teams pads with a win over a Div-IAA team and we can tease that out because the CollegeFootballData API has the ability to find out what teams are in the highest tier. (Formerly D-IA, now called FBS.)
